Kofi, a wonderful man, was dearly loved by his friends and relatives and never met a stranger. He easily connected to everyone he met, made people laugh, and feel welcome wherever he was. Kofi was gifted in understanding people emotionally. His memory will be kept alive in our hearts and our souls. But we will also remember him by his literary legacy, by reading or listening to the stories that he collected in Ghana and left for us to enjoy.
Louise, your dear friend, says:
I will always remember your smile, your infectious laughter, and your warmheartedness. I miss your optimism and strong conviction that by creating and writing down stories as artists we are making an important contribution to the world, we live in. As you put it: ‘This is the inner joy that the artist feels! No one can take this from the artist and it leads the artist to make greater contributions.’
My good friend Kofi, I dearly miss you and I will never forget you. By all the good memories you left behind in my and other people’s mind, I am sure you will rest in peace.
Your Quest for Wisdom Foundation (QFWF) team members will also miss you. Joke, who regularly communicated with you via email says:
I was struck and touched by the sad news of your passing on. I never saw you in person but our interaction via email transmitted your warmth and gentle character which will stay with me. Rest in peace.
We will make sure that the QFWF e-book with your Ghanaian folk tales will be distributed widely and will continue to deeply value your scholarly and artistic contributions. We will remember you as a wise man that has joined the ancestors and will honour you accordingly.

Kofi, een geweldige man, was zeer geliefd bij zijn vrienden en familieleden. Hij ontmoette nooit een vreemde. Hij maakte gemakkelijk contact met iedereen die hij ontmoette, maakte mensen aan het lachen en voelde zich welkom waar hij ook was. Kofi was begaafd in het emotioneel begrijpen van mensen. Zijn nagedachtenis zal levend worden gehouden in ons hart en onze ziel. Maar we zullen hem ook herinneren wegens zijn literaire nalatenschap, door het lezen of luisteren naar de verhalen die hij in Ghana voor ons verzamelde en voor ons achterliet om van te genieten.
Louise, je dierbare vriendin, zegt:
Ik zal altijd je glimlach, je aanstekelijke lach en je hartelijkheid herinneren. Ik mis je optimisme en sterke overtuiging dat we door het creëren en opschrijven van verhalen als kunstenaars een belangrijke bijdrage leveren aan de wereld waarin we leven. Zoals je zelf zei: ‘Dit is de innerlijke vreugde die de kunstenaar voelt! Niemand kan dit van de kunstenaar afnemen en het leidt ertoe dat de kunstenaar een nog grotere bijdrage levert.’
Mijn goede vriend Kofi, ik mis je heel erg en ik zal je nooit vergeten. Bij alle goede herinneringen die je achterliet in mijn gedachten en die van anderen, weet ik zeker dat je in vrede zult rusten.
Je teamleden van de Quest for Wisdom Foundation (QFWF) zullen je ook missen. Joke, die regelmatig via e-mail met je communiceerde, zegt:
Het droevige nieuws van je overlijden heeft mij getroffen en geraakt. Ik heb je nooit persoonlijk gezien, maar onze interactie via e-mail bracht je warmte en zachte karakter over, die voor altijd bij mij zullen blijven. Rust in vrede.
We zullen ervoor zorgen dat het QFWF E-book met je Ghanese volksverhalen wijd verspreid zal worden en we zullen je wetenschappelijke en artistieke bijdragen ten zeerste blijven waarderen. We zullen je herinneren als een wijs man die zich bij de voorouders heeft gevoegd en zullen je dienovereenkomstig eren.
